Welcome To The Bullpen

In These Wilds
By Scott Biddiscombe

Dancing embers float above
The crackling fire’s glow
While gently falling to the earth
The first glimpse of winter snow
Beneath these skies of bluish-black
This cloak of twilight sky
Deep in these wilds I rest content
Alone with my thoughts, tonight
The treetops sway high above my head
Their rough branches intertwined
As I tend the flames which give me warmth
And cast a captivating light
It is here I find my solace
By this fire raging bright
Deep in these wilds, so comforting
Alone with my thoughts, tonight

Once More, Tomorrow
By Scott Biddiscombe

Upon these sing-song winds we ride
Across majestic plains
Beneath a million diamonds overhead
Until dawn first breaks the day
Dark soaring peaks, our canopy
At their feet we lay our head
We, the riders of this rugged land
It is here we make our stead
Before the morning paints the sky
With strokes of orange and gold
We mount our trusted pales
Corralling strays back to the fold
Until the final count is made
And not one is left alone
Once more, tomorrow
This our cry
As we make our way back home
