Cowboy Poetry and Western Verse
Nothin' Like Her Larry Bradfield
I've been a moonshiner and horse wrangler too,
I can break you a horse or brew you a brew
I've been to big cities and small ones a few
Ain't seen nothin' like her, nothin' else will do
I have ridden in rodeos far and near
And heard me some tall tales that you oughta hear
I have rassled a bear and shown him no fear
But I get all weepy when she sheds a tear
I've held new puppies and made kitty cats purr
Rocked little babies until they slept, yessir
And patted new ponies and rubbed down their fur
But nothin's as gentle - as gentle as her
Now I'll take her dancin', yes dancin' with me
And hope that I'm lucky, as lucky can be
While she's in my arms and our hearts are set free
I'll ask her to marry and then we will see
I've been a moonshiner and horse wrangler, too
I can break you a horse or brew you a brew
I've been to big cities and small ones a few
Ain't seen nothin' like her, nothin' else will do
