                  Chocolate Meringue Kisses 
                   
                   
                  ½ cup of sifted cake flour 
                  ¾ cup of sugar 
                  4 egg whites 
                  ¼ teaspoon of salt 
                  4 oz. of chocolate, melted 
                  ½ teaspoon of vanilla 
                   
                  Set the oven at 275 degrees 
                  Grease a cookie sheet with butter 
                  Cover with waxed paper, but do not grease the paper 
                  Mix and sift the flour and ¼ cup of the sugar 
                  Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff, gradually 
                  beat in the remaining ½ cup of sugar 
                  Sift the flour mixture over the beaten egg whites 
                  and fold it into them 
                  Fold in the cooled melted chocolate and the vanilla 
                  Drop from a teaspoon onto the prepared baking sheet
