CHOCOLATE


COOKIES & BROWNIES




Rich Chocolate Cookies

1 ¾ cups of sifted flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
2/3 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 egg, well beaten
½ teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of milk
1 ounce of baking chocolate

Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt
Beat the butter thoroughly; add the sugar and continue creaming until well mixed
Mix in the egg and add the vanilla
Add the sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk
Add the cooled melted chocolate and mix
Start the oven at 400 degrees
Lightly sprinkle a bread board with flour
Roll out the dough about 1/8 inch thick
Cut into desired shapes and lay them on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 12 minutes
