Take Me Back to Oklahoma (1940) - The plot line keeps the movie interesting. It's a good story. Bob and the Texas Playboys are great.

The Great Train Robbery (1903) - In 1903, an employee of Thomas Edison's motion picture company produced a movie with a story. It was called "The Great TrainRobbery." It told a simple story of a group of western criminals who steal money from a train. Later they are killed by a group of police in a gun fight. The movie was extremely popular. "The Great TrainRobbery" started the huge motion picture industry. |

The Gun and the Pulpit (1974) - An on the run gunfighter, wanted for a crime he didn't commit, stumbles upon the body of a preacher who's been killed. In an attempt to hide from his pursuers, he takes on the dead preacher's identity and proceeds to make quite an impression on an entire town that is being bullied by an arrogant, controlling man and his cronies. |

The Outlaw (1943) - Scandalous for it's time, "The Outlaw" directed by Howard Hughes, is the story of Billy the Kid, Doc Holiday, and Pat Garrett. The plot is thin at best, but we are introduced to a 22 year old Jane Russell which makes the film almost worthwhile. |

The Red Blood of Courage (1935) - This film ranks right up there with early John Wayne movies (pre-Stagecoach) for original stories and lots of action. |

The Silver Arrow - These are quality Gene Autry short-westerns. Horses, A little intrigue, a fistfight or two, more horses, Gene singing a song, dust, arid climate, a horse riding chase, six-gun action (just enough shooting to qualify the oplot but no splatter), Incredible marksmanship, more horsey stuff with the saddles, hitching posts & such... you know, a NICE western. |

The Silver Trail (1937) - When the partner of Bob Crandall is missing after he finds a gold claim, Crandall goes to look for him (but not before hearing a few country songs). |

The Trail Beyond (1934) - Rod is searching for a missing miner and his daughter. His friend Wabi is helping him and they find a map to a mine.
